On letterhead of Teachers College at Columbia University, where Coe taught from 1922 to 1927, Coe writes, perhaps to a pupil: "On Wednesday I am to be in Washington. How would tomorrow (Tuesday) at 3 o'clock do?" Nicely penned. .
