Faint bit of age toning and edgewear. Handsome prospectus for this press's hefty and sumptuous two-volume leatherbound facsimile, limited to 996 sets. Pages 2-4 of the folder housing the sample leaf consist of a thumbnail sketch of Johann Gutenberg's life and career, an appreciation of the Bible's pioneering status and reputation, and sales pitch for this full size full color facsimile edition. Sample leaf appears to contain a portion of Psalm 4 and is an attractive color facsimile, one side replete with decorative pictorial border and rubricated initial capital. Two promotional leafs consist of an introduction to the project signed (in facsimile) by company president A.W. Littlefield and a "Subscription Blank" spelling out ordering and payment options. This sharp facsimile is accompanied by a second reproduction Gutenberg leaf, the "Library of Congress Facsimile No, 2," a heavy stock folio (11½" X 15 3/4") "Exact facsimile of the First Page of Genesis" (Washington, DC: Library of Congress, 1962). Near fine. Accompanied by a heavy stock 4to (8½" X 13") explanatory leaf. .
