Delightful head-and-shoulders sepia-tone portrait of a smiling younger Jenkins at the height of his fame, handsomely inscribed and signed in ink in a light portion at lower left: "To Jean Nelson / with best wishes / Allen Jenkins." These high-quality larger images (unlike the 6" X 8" or smaller images sent out in bulk by the studios to fans and bearing preprinted or secretarial signatures) were often reserved for "film folk" and such -- here an Iowa movie theater owner.
