(Bailey, 1933-2021, was a criminal defense attorney famed for representing Sam Sheppard, Albert DeSalvo, Patty Hearst, O.J. Simpson and other celebrity clients.) Above this is a matching bookplate signed in black fineline by RICHARD D. MUDD (1901-2002), the grandson of Samuel Mudd and likewise a physician; he spent decades attempting to get his grandfather's conviction pardoned. Truly an extraordinary copy. .
