At top is Daniel Massey (1933-98, son of Raymond Massey), who portrays Jack Tanner in the 1981 National Theatre stage play in London; he signs in black fineline and dates it 6 June 1973 at upper right. Below this is John Wood (1930-2011), who portrays Mendoza in the 1996 BBC Radio production; he signs large in blue ballpoint and dates it 21 March 1975 at upper right. Laid in are the original Massey and Wood transmittal envelopes and appropriate "Sandglass" issue. Play text is followed by text of John Tanner's "The Revolutionist's Handbook & Pocket Companion." A most unusual copy. .
