Quite tight and attractive first edition of the second title in the 10-volume "Hal Keen Mystery Story" series (1931-34). Jacket rear panel and printed jacket verso both note first three titles only (all published 1931), and the nonauthorial gift inscription on front flyleaf dated "Christmas 31" confirms.
