This copy bears one such choice philatelic memento: Tipped to front flyleaf is a pristine First Day Cover, 6½" X 3½", cancelled aboard the U.S.S. Charleston in the Canal Zone on 15 August 1939 and with "First Day of Issue" so stamped. Single 3-cent "25th Anniversary Panama Canal" stamp at upper right and leftmost third filled with a handsome map and text printed cachet. Never addressed. .
