Harry E. Barker (1866-1953) was a Springfield, Illinois art store owner and Lincoln dealer who issued a number of these small imprints: "Abraham Lincoln Miss Ann Rutledge New Salem Pioneering" in 1910, "Abraham Lincoln and Mary Owens" in 1922, "Brief Analysis of Lincoln's Character" in 1917, "A Card and a Correction" in 1917, "Lincoln's Philosophy of Life" in 1933 and others, all with numbered and signed colophons noting varying limitions (usually 100 or 150 copies). "Lincoln's Personal Characteristics" shows 100 copies (this #86) boldly signed by Barker in black ink. Uncommon. MONAGHAN 3385. .
