SAINSBURY, Noel, Jr., ROCKWOOD, Roy, BAKER, Willard F., and CHADWICK, Lester - Mystery and Adventure Stories for Boys: Four Complete Books by Popular Juvenile Authors

Title: Mystery and Adventure Stories for Boys: Four Complete Books by Popular Juvenile Authors
Description: New York, Cupples & Leon Company, n.y. Hardcover. 8vo. Green cloth with black lettering, pictorial dust jacket. 247pp; 240pp, (1p ad); 210pp, (1p); 246pp, (1p). Frontispiece. Very good/very good. Binding faintly edgeworn, else internally tight and near fine; jacket edgeworn and rubbed, with a few edge chips, but complete and overall attractive. Nice omnibus edition, undated but likely circa 1930, of four titles from popular boys series. In order: Sainsbury's "Billy Smith Exploring Ace" from "The Great Ace Series" (first published 1928), Rockwood's "Through the Air to the North Pole or The Wonderful Cruise of the Electric Monarch" from "The Great Marvel Series" (first published 1906), Baker's "The Boy Ranchers or Solving the Mystery at Diamond X" from "The Boy Ranchers Series" (first published 1921) and Chadwick's "Baseball Joe of the Silver Stars or The Rivals of Riverside" from "The Baseball Joe Series" (first published 1912). Clearly compiled for the broadest boy appeal -- series focusing on aviation, exploration, cowboys and baseball! Rather uncommon. .
