Inside front wrapper bears handsome bookplate of relative of Thrum, noted academic administrator Deane W. Malott (1898-1996), educator who served as assistant dean at Harvard Business School, chancellor of University of Kansas and president of Cornell University. Streit (1896-1986) was a well-known American journalist and war correspondent who penned books advocating a federal union of world democracies as mankind's best hopes for a peaceful world. .
