"A revolting fictitious story" is how Colton Storm describes this scarce production, "written to advertise Dr. Clark Johnson's Indian blood syrup" -- which Johnson does here on the unnumbered closing leaf, which describes this snake oil bizarrely as "the most remarkable purifier of the blood that I have ever known; it is a tonic, a diuretic, a nervine, and a gentle laxative. It is alterative, sudorific, soporific, and deobstruent.." First edition, worn and homely but handleable and decent -- and priced accordingly. AYER 90. GRAFF 1199. RADER 1265. .
