Front flyleaf is filled with his typically enormous inscription and signature (floral-decorated capital letters of recipient's name a full 4½" tall!) in blue ballpoint: "to Blanche Haye / with all best wishes / from Juan and me / Leo Politi / Spring 1951." Early printing, with $2.00 jacket price and "Juaniti" only on rear jacket flap. Politi (1908-96) was an author and illustrator known for his twenty children's books. .
