Author: HAYES, Hiram Wallace Title: The Newspaper Game: How It Was Successfully Played by Two Enterprising Boys
Description: Boston, Lothrop, Lee & Shepard Co, 1927. Hardcover. Illustrations by Harold Cue. Small 8vo. Red cloth with black lettering and black pictorial stamping. 348pp. Frontispiece, 3 called-for full-page plates. Very good. Faintest bit of mild edgewear and couple page edge smudges, else tight, bright, attractive. Sharp first edition of what appears to be a boy's series book title and is perhaps the first and only title produced, for it's not found in juvenile series bibliographies. Surprisingly scarce and rarely seen, especially in such tight, handsome condition. Wallace is the author of a number of fiction and religious titles around the turn of the century and equally little is known about him. .
