Title: Driven Ashore in Lost Latitudes; or, the Strange Story of the Skeleton Island
Description: New York, Frank Tousey, Publisher, 1907. Paperback. April 3, 1907 edition (No. 461) of "Pluck and Luck: Complete Stories of Adventure." 4to. Pictorial color wrappers. 29pp, (3pp ads). Good plus. Outer wrappers rather soiled, age toned and edgeworn; inner text pages moderately age toned and a bit delicate as usual. A tight and decent issue of this adventure weekly. Chromolithograph front wrapper shows frightened passengers on the deck of a ship being tossed about in rough waters watching a crazed white-bearded gent balanced on the ship's edge. Caption below reads: "Then a flash of vivid lightning showed to all as plain as day the form of a man on the after rail. One moment he wavered there. Then another flash showed him falling into the sea." Fun and colorful front wrapper graphics. A far better than average dime novel (actually, "Price 5 Cents") or "penny dreadful," with text printed in two columns. .
