Ownership name inkstamped on frontispiece verso; old brown paper strip reinforcements on borders and folds (all verso) of bright and handsome jacket, which leaves minor, discreet ¼" light abrasion along top and bottom of jacket recto. A tight and quite attractive first edition of the seventh title in the 10-volume "Hal Keen Mystery Story" series published between 1931 and 1934. Jacket rear panel lists up to this title and list on jacket verso cites first six titles. Despite minor quarter inch abrasion along top and bottom of jacket edge, jacket is lovely and features outstanding front panel graphics -- and the book itself is about as pristine as it gets. Scarce, especially in this condition. .
