Excellent and tight first edition of the first volume in the 4-volume "Boy Hunters Series," with this title only listed in ad at rear. Scarce in first edition in nice condition. Superb front board graphic shows two uniform-clad young men, rifles in hand and dog in tow, in a wooded setting heading out after a deer. Bonehill was one of many pseudonyms used by the wildly prolific juvenile fiction scribbler Edward Stratemeyer (1862-1930). .
