First edition of this conjecture on how Lincoln might react to contemporary events. Interestingly, the front flyleaf bears the light nonauthorial gift inscription "Christmas 1925 / With Best Greetings / William Sacks." Sacks was a wealthy St. Louis oil man and bank director who befriended Hill and had the author gift copies of this book to other friends. Seldom seen in the dust jacket MONAGHAN 2779. .
