TOMLINSON, Everett T. - Four Boys and a Fortune: Why They Went to England, and What They Found

Title: Four Boys and a Fortune: Why They Went to England, and What They Found
Description: New York, Grosset & Dunlap, 1910. Hardcover. Small 8vo. Tan cloth with brown lettering and brown, black and light blue pictorial stamping. viii, 370pp, (4pp ads). Frontispiece, 7 full-page plates (as called for). Very good. Mildest of edgewear only and faint age toning. A tight and handsome reprint edition of the fourth title in the "Our Own Land" series 1906-11). Fun front board graphic depicts the four lads walking up the gangplank for their steamship cruise across the pond to Britain, all decked out in their finest duds. Although title page notes Boston and Lothrop, Lee & Shepard Co. and copyright page retains "Published, March, 1910," the Grosset & Dunlap logo at foot of spine is the giveaway. Nonetheless a superb copy of an uncommon title -- not your usual worn and broken hand-me-down!.
