Painter; the third colloquium features Thomas Keiser, Helen B. Crocker, Craig E. Colten and Richard Sloan; the fourth colloquium ("The Many Facets of Abraham Lincoln") features Don E. Fehrenbacher, Cullom Davis, Robert V. Bruce and Harold Holzer; the fifth colloquium ("Abraham Lincoln Within the Context of American Culture") features Harold Holzer, Robert W. Johannsen, Mark E. Neely Jr. William E. Gienapp and Edwin C. Bearss; and the sixth colloquium ("Abraham Lincoln and the Crucible of War") features Paul Findley, John Y. Simon, Richard N. Current, Frank J. Williams and James M. McPherson. Not only does this represent a "Who's Who of Lincolniana," but one sees the colloquium volumes increase in length and sophistication every year. An unusual grouping -- and surprisingly uncommon. .
