Quite tight and decent first clothbound edition of this campaign biography. "Barrett's Authentic Edition" first issued in a rare wrappers version, then one week later in this clothbound version. The steel-engraved portrait of running mate Hamlin between pages 194 and 195 is quite nice and the frontispiece unbearded Lincoln portrait is an expert archival replacement on appropriate period stock.
