On pale blue letterhead with his name embossed in blue at top, Garrett pens boldly in his huge, sprawling script: "Did you ever put a special note in a special place and find it four months later? That's what I did with yours of Feb. 19, which, by the way, is my birthday.." Signed simply "G.G." Unusual. .
