Author: ROCKWOOD, Roy Title: Bomba the Jungle Boy at the Giant Cataract or Chief Nascarona and His Captives
Description: New York, Cupples & Leon Company, 1926. Hardcover. Small 8vo. Tan cloth with black lettering and pictorial stamping, pictorial dust jacket. 204pp, (8pp ads). Frontispiece. Very good/good plus. Jacket a tad edgeworn and a bit rubbed, with a couple small edge chips and archivally closed (on verso) edge tears -- but intact, complete and overall attractive. A tight, quite nice first edition of the third title in this popular Tarzan spinoff series that numbered 20 volumes and included later film versions featuring Johnny Sheffield. Second state dust jacket (white background instead of green). Fun front jacket panel graphics by W.S. Rogers shows bow-and-arrow clutching young Bomba standing full-length in a thick jungle setting, a tiger's head popping out from the undergrowth in the background. Truly an exceptional copy. .
