A tight and nice first U.S. edition of the first-ever translation of this 1857 novel ("Confessions of an Italian") but not published in Italian until 1867 by the Italian writer and journalist (1831-61) -- often called the most important novel about the Italian Risorgimento. Rather uncommon. .
