Description: Born in Oregon (and buried there), this Nazi officer served in Hitler's headquarters during part of the war; as a Luftwaffe fighter ace he is credited with downing 10 enemy aircraft; he was also member of the delegation that signed the Nazi surrender document; postwar he became a popular Pan Am station manager at Nuremberg airport. Large, bold full signature in blue ink, below which he pens "1938 with I / ZG234," heavy stock 5½" X 3½" glazed card, n.p. n.y. Fine. Tettelbach served with the ZG26 fighter unit ion 1943-44, so ZG234 must be the unit he served before the war. Very uncommon. .
