Tight, handsome first edition of this history of the southeast Pennsylvania city that saw some interesting action during the Civil War. Signed large and bold by Keefer in blue ballpoint on the title page, and with an inscription on front flyleaf "To / Cecil Finkenbinder / an old Mechanicsburger" bearing an entirely illegible signature -- but perhaps that of one of the illustrators. .
