Friendly note the the respected "Lincoln Herald" and "Civil War Times" book reviewer sending Gates two other issues of the Confederate Centennial Studies series, noting: "We shall appreciate your giving review space to these two monographs in your journal" and adding a handwritten postscript ("Thanks for your nice comments in last Lincoln Herald").
