Rockefeller Jr.'s "The Failure of Prohibition," John Erskine's "Our College Degree Tag," Frederick H. McDonald's "A Plan to Stabilize Business," Alfred E. Smith's "A Halt to Veteran Legislation" and Walter Lippmann's "Governor Roosevelt and Mayor Walker." Discrete ex-library, the only markings being a couple of slight inkstampings. Editor-journalist-historian Shaw (born 1857) founded this long-running monthly in 1891, and it pursued a broad agenda covering U.S. and world political, economic and social issues for decades. .
