Bold signature in brown ink, 4¼" X 1" slip (tipped to slightly larger sheet), n.p. n.y. Very good. Slight mounting trace on verso. A nice example, beneath which in a miniscule contemporary hand (not James') is noted "Postmaster General -- / during administration of Garfield. .
