Title: Signature
Description: American expatriate author and playwright (under the pseudonym John Oliver Hobbes) whose first novel was "Some Emotions and a Moral" (1891) and whose plays include "The Flute of Pan" (1904). Bold double signature ("Pearl Mary Teresa Craigie / John Oliver Hobbes") and date ("Jan. 10, 1906") in her miniscule hand in brown ink, heavy stock 3¼" X 2¼" card, n.p. Very good. Slightest bit of age toning. A terrific example, penned just seven months before her untimely death at age 39 of heart failure. Uncommon. .
