Addressed to noted Lincoln/Civil War scholar Arnold F. Gates (1914-93). Very good. On Turner's personal letterhead featuring color globe and "A Collection of Manuscript and Printed Americana" tagline, this well-known L.A. realtor tells this long-time officer of the New York City Civil War Round Table, "When you send out the notices for your March meeting, would you be good enough to send me 10 copies so that I can send these to interested individuals in New York City." Boldly signed in full in blue ballpoint. Famed Lincolniana collector Turner (1898-1976) is best known for co-editing with his wife the 1972 volume "Mary Todd Lincoln: Her Life and Letters. .
