Description: The brother of noted pianists Sally (a master pupil of Liszt) and Emil was himself a noted German-American composer and pianist. Superb IPS, 8" X 10", n.p. 1927 November 22. Near fine. A choice, almost sepia tone head-and-shoulders of the balding mustachioed musician. A facsimile white "signature" appears in white at lower left (on top of his shoulder), and Liebling signs here large and bold on top of (in effect obscuring) this in black ink, dating it beneath his signature and above it adding: "To / Mr. John L. / Leiser / with best / wishes / and / in kind / remembrance / of." Quite handsome and interesting -- and rather scarce as well. .
