First edition of this Minnesota pastor's memoir, boldly inscribed and signed on the front flyleaf in blue ink: "Allen V Lee / the Wheelchair / Evangelist." While a Lutheran seminary student in 1938 Lee (1909-80) was struck down by polio, but evangelized for decades using his wheelchair as a pulpit. .
