Slight bit of binding edgewear and couple of small ink-type drops on front board; nonauthorial Christmas presentation card of this hot-off-the-press title tipped to frontispiece verso; ownership signature/address penned large on front flyleaf. Overall a tight, quite decent first edition and internally bright and clean, with glorious Fisher color plates. McCutcheon (1866-1928), elder brother of the noted Chicago editorial cartoonist, was a Chicago fiction sensation, cranking out bestsellers such as this, "Brewster's Millions" (1902), "A Fool and His Money" (1913) and others in the first two decades of the 20th century. .
