FONDA, Henry (1905-82) - Signature and Inscription / Unsigned Photograph

Title: Signature and Inscription / Unsigned Photograph
Description: This Hollywood mainstay -- Jane and Peter's pop, Bridget's granddad -- excelled at portraying Average Joe heroic characters in such classics as "The Grapes of Wrath," and appeared in many memorable films such as "The Ox-Bow Incident" (1943), "Twelve Angry Men" (1957) and "On Golden Pond" (1981, for which he won an Oscar). Bold "To Donald / All Good Wishes / Henry Fonda" in thick blue fountain pen on an irregular, roughly oval-shaped 4" X 2½" slip, n.p. n.y. Good plus. In addition to add trimming, there are several small scotch tape stains at the edges, not affecting signature and only slightly touching the "T" in "To." Accompanied by a superb glossy 8" X 10" publicity photograph from the 1947 film "The Fugitive," a half-length portrait of Fonda in white shirt and tie gazing over the back of the chair in which he's seated. Despite condition and shape, a respectable signature example and a fabulous image. .
