TLS, 1p, 8½" X 11", Boston, MA, 1913 December 23. Addressed to Hamilton Holt, editor of the "New York Independent." Near fine. Mounting traces on verso. On letterhead of the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad Company, the newly-named president and chairman begs off writing a newspaper article: "..until the company can get its affairs adjusted with the Federal authorities, and its finances on a better basis, I have hardly any time for other matters.." Bold, handsome signature. .
