Addressed to "Who's Who in America" president Kenneth N. Anglemire. Near fine. Two original mailing folds. On pictorial "Ralston Purina Company" letterhead citing him as Chairman of the Board, Rowland writes: "Thank you for your wired invitation to join with the distinguished Americans who have been invited to the New York World's Fair and to a luncheon.. It just so happens that I am scheduled for a trip to Europe.. and will not return until sometime in July. I regret that I will not be able to join your group.." Boldly signed in blue ink. Rowland joined Ralston Purina in 1926 and worked his way up the corporate ladder until he became company president in 1956 and chairman of the board (1963-68). .
