At the top, beneath the boldface title given above, is "Executive Department," headed by soon-to-be Union general Nathaniel P. Banks and listing his lieutenant governor, cabinet members and councillors. Next comes "Senators," listing all state senators by county and city. Finally, comprising two-thirds of the broadside, is "Representatives," a county-by-county directory of state representatives. A "Special Notice to the Members of the Senate and House" at the bottom makes it clear that this broadside was intended for public display in the state capitol building. A fascinating and attractive piece. .
