Im Haupttext reicht zum Verständnis Schulmathematik; in den Anhängen zu den Kapiteln präsentiert Varian dann die mathematischen Hintergründe mit Analysis. Ich kann die Lektüre des englischen Originals sehr empfehlen; die deutsche Übersetzung habe ich nur für die Fachbegriffe als Übersetzungshilfe benutzt.
