Willem Pleyte (1836-1903), conservator of the Egyptian collections at Leiden, later director of the Museum. Conradus Leemans (1809-1893) was the first Egyptologist to publish a systematic catalogue of all the contents of one of the major European Egyptological collections. He began the great official gouvernment publication of the monuments and papyri in the Leiden collection in 1839, which appeared in parts from then until 1882. A gelatin silver photograph of a section of the actual Papyrus is included. It comes from the collection of Egyptologist Prof. Heerma van Voss (1923-2015) with his ink stamp on verso. Some other professionally made reproductions of sections of the actual Papyrus are also loosely inserted. Beinlich-Seeber 16020. FOLIO-1 .
