In good condition. ~ Fifth edition, revised and enlarged. Henry Fawcett (1833-1884), English statesman and economist. He became totally blind after an accident but nevertheless decided to study economics. Was professor of political economy at Cambridge, and a member of Parliament. His "Manual" was intended to make the work of Mill briefer and more accessible. It was a text in British and American colleges for many years. An abridgement was later published by his wife.
