Title: Wrath of the Serfs: A Group of Life-Size Clay Sculptures
Description: black a4 gold text garage under F, Foreign Language Press. 1988. Paperback. Paperback internal pages clean but cover some creasing and marks. The Wrath of the Serfs created by Teachers from the May Seventh College of the Arts in Beijing working with Tibetan artists, is a Socialist-realist sculptural installation consisting of 106 figures portraying the evils of the feudal society in Tibet, billing the Dalai Lama as a despicable land and slave owner, and featuring gory scenes of sacrifice and mutilation. Obviously the scenes were designed to justify China's occupation of Tibet by discrediting the previous ruler. Used: Acceptable.
