Printers catalogue consisting of 12 folio, 5 quarto, 105 octavo & twelves & 4 "in the press" works on various subjects from fencing, to apiculture, general science, theology, literature, courtesy. William Taylor was the son of John Taylor who was one of the largest publishers of the period. In 1700 William started working for his father but in 1711 he set up for himself in Paternoster Row. He is best remembered as the publisher in 1719 of Defoe's Robinson Crusoe, buy which he is said to have cleared GBP 1,000. He died in 1723. [cf Plomer, Dictionary of printers and booksellers].
