The text is complete; the plate set is incomplete (should be 116 plates). Illustrated with hand-coloured engravings, including mostly animals and some maps. Foxing throughout, heavy on several pages, and a few pages detached. Several plates are also affected by spots and browning, but the bindings are uniformly decorative in red half leather with gilt and black tooling. French text.
