Printed in 2 columns. - Tome 1-2: In 1 Leather binding sl. rubbed; top spine dam.; first hinge with tear, but still holding strong; small tear in other hinge; corners sl. bumped. Tome premier: (iv), (xxiv: 'Préface') with large engraved head-piece, (vi: 'Table) pp., 742 columns. With engraved title by Baptist after Elliger, 2 engraved dedication leaves to Fred. Giuilm. Bor. et Brandeb. with his portrait, coat of arms and allegorical symbols, engraved by Vianen after Goeree, double-page map with the world globes after Pieter vander Aa, 1 double-page engraving(siege of Amida) and 207 engraved illustrations with historical scenes: pillages, battles, horrible decapitations, tortures, rapes, naval battles, etc. - Tome second: (iv)pp, 742 columns.
