All the volumes uniformly bound in contemporary blue half cloth, spines gilt with lines, gilt titles; covers marbled paper. Each text-volume with about 600 till 900 pages, with many folding tables, figs in text and 1 engraved plan. The atlasses are all complete: with together 316 double-page plates on 314 leaves, including large folding plates, 1 in colour. Also including 15 double-page maps (5 in colour, i.a. 'L'Amrique'), of which 6 large folding maps. (i.a.'Ronchamp', 'Le bassin de Brassac'). - Dealing with mining engineering ('Mines de houilles, de fer, de plomb', etc.), mineralogy, metallurgy, geology in general, Industrial constructions, ways of transport, and many specialized subjects. - Light brown spots in places, also affecting the plates. - The 6th vol. in 2 parts: "Premire Partie: Compte-Rendu du Congrs de Douai". - With all the plates and maps in the 10 atlasses: lithographs by Lantz. - Added: "Table Analytique des Matires dans les 15 tomes formant la 2e Srie, 1887".
