Boards are blue cloth cover with white title block on spine, somewhat darkened by age. Page edges are rough-cut with top edge smooth and gilt. Corners of pages are sharp and binding is tight, pages are clean and unmarked, but corners of boards are slightly worn or rubbed. If interested, I have several other volumes of this Set. De Kock (1793-1871) was a "prolific French author whose discreetly pornographic novels about Parisian life were, in his day, popular reading throughout Europe.
