Profusely illustrated in b/w and colour. - French sculptor and visual artist Amandine Guruceaga was invited by LVMH Métiers d?Art to be its second artist in residence, and collaborated on site with artisans at the Riba-Guixa tannery in Spain to produce a number of leather-based works. Immersing herself in the opportunity to draw on the knowledge of the artisans, she was also able to experiment and discover new creative processes. This volume documents both the display of the vibrant works and a six-hour painting performance which took place on the tannery floor, presented as a series of pictures. The artist created a special leather motif from which each back cover was cut, making each copy an unique edition. - Fineas new copy
