Collective account of several RAF escapes in WWII. The second part of the book is devoted to the 'Great Escape' from Stalag Luft III at Sagan where both authors and the illustrator were captive. In one way, therefore, a prototype account of Brickhill's later classic 'The Great Escape' (1951). Many of Kenyon's drawings, including those made in the tunnel itself, were buried in the camp to avoid detection and recovered only after VE Day. VERY SCARCE. Enser, p.148.
