Description: Folio Society,, 1991 [1993]. 7 vols., 8vo., with frontispieces and wood-engraved illustrations in the text; full green silk moire, gilt backs, green tops, pale green endpapers, a near fine set in publisher's silk moire slip-case; bindings and case with no sign of the usual colour-fading. Wood-engravings by Simon Brett, George Tute, Peter Reddick, Howard Phippis, Peter Fian Stephens, Harry Brockway respectively. This illustrated edition first published by FS in 1991. THIS SET IS SCARCE IN THIS CONDITION; the elegant silk binding was found to fade heavily with time and was replaced by blue cloth from 2004 onwards.
