With the trade ticket of Henry Sotheran (then in The Strand) on front paste-down. Published simultaneously with the US edition. THIS COPY WAS FORMERLY IN THE LIBRARY OF LT.-COL. H. D. NAPIER AND BEARS HIS HOLOGRAPH SIGNATURE ON BLANK PRELIMINARY RECTO. Henry Dundas Napier (1864-1941), served during WWI as military attache in Bulgaria (primarily at Sofia and Bucharest); his service is recorded in 'Experiences of a Military Attache in the Balkans' (1924). He later compiled a biography of his namesake Lord Napier of Magdala (1924). Hattendorf A5b.
